Backes, Auel - Original Linocut Print
Description
'Backes' - the former bakery and later the town hall of the village of Auel in the Middle Rhine Valley, Germany. The building has been mentioned in the land registry in 1865 however the inscription on the bell which still hangs in the bell tower reads '1668'. Timber frame buildings are quite typical for the Middle Rhine River Valley. The timber frame of this building is painted red and the roof is covered in slate.
This art print looks great as a framed wall art, makes for a perfect gift or a souvenir from Germany.
This is an original linocut print - drawn, carved and printed by hand. I used oil-based inks on heavy art paper. Each print is unique and may therefore have very slight variations.
