Fascinating boldness of the linocut art
I have been creating art for as long as I can remember. I spent several years taking drawing lessons in preparation for architectural studies. Even though I've chosen a different career path, the creative process has never stopped. It has been drawing, painting, pyrography (wood-burning art), and most recently lino printing.
Not just the motif and the color, but also the visible substance of the ink and the paper the artwork is printed on contribute to the whole expression. My work often reflects my surroundings and my love for traditional architecture. Currently located in the Middle Rhine Valley in Germany, I take advantage of the outstanding beauty of the region with its quaint old villages and towns, timber-frame buildings, and medieval castles. Places I visit, people I meet, objects, nature - they all inspire me and my artwork.
My prints are my own creations. From the first draft to the carving and printing - everything is done by hand and done by me.
I hope my artwork brings you joy!
